LORD I AM SO SORRY
Lord I haven’t loved you nearly enough
I’ve just run to you with my problems and fuss
I haven’t spent time on my bended knee
Where there has only been you and me
I haven’t spent the time to say I love you
There have been too many “things” spoiling my view
I haven’t thanked you for all you have done
For loving me and for sending your son
I’ve spent too much time thinking of ME
Instead of loving you... sitting on your knee
Instead of reaching out to those in pain
Instead of showing your love whispering to them your name
Forgive me Lord there is no excuse
I was focused on self and that is no use
It doesn’t help others or exalt your name
Forgive me Lord please help me to change
To look outside me not look within
Please cleanse me this day remove my sin
Please open my eyes guide me today
Jesus my Lord please show me your ways
