TRUE FASTING.....FORGETTING SELF
It’s thinking of others...of everyone else
It’s about being humble it’s surrendering ALL
To Jesus the one who reversed the fall
It’s being led by HIS Spirit in all we do
It’s being willing to place others ahead of you
It’s choosing our words before we speak
Because it’s Jesus that we seek
It’s not about how we think or feel
It is showing others that HE is real
It’s worshipping HIM in all we say and do
Do you see the reason really.. do you?
To forget yourself and lift Jesus on high
To allow others to see just why He died
To see that He is the Way the Truth the Life
To see He is the gate He is the light
The light we see when darkness consumes
When we feel there’s no hope when death is assumed
This is not the time to think of self
It is the time to place pride upon the shelf
It is the time to think of those who are lost
It’s the time to forget self no matter the cost
True fasting...forgetting self
