TRYING SO HARD
Trying so hard to be someone we’re not
Promoting ourselves as if God forgot
Working hard so that people will see
How worthy we are you and me
Instead of resting within HIS place
Allowing HIM...seeking HIS face
Being made clean till we shimmer and gleam
So that it’s only HIS spirit that will be seen
Because it’s not about us... it’s all about HIM
And allowing HIS Spirit to live with in
It is then we are all HE wants us to be
HIS kingdom people so that ALL will see
HE is the Way THEY NEED TO Follow Him
They need to embrace HIM and allow HIM in
Trying so hard to be someone we’re not
Promoting ourselves as if God forgot.
